The Equinox

A solitary osprey remains in my neighborhood, overlooking the river from his favorite perch; face to the wind, he courageously defied the equinox to emerge on the other side of summer this morning. He  appreciates the here and now.

That special day

Each birth date celebration reveals more and more how I must have felt on the auspicious occasion of my arrival; I’m enchanted and awed to have reached this beautiful destination. And then the wailing begins...
